For anybody tha's ANYBODY in MY WORLD (that is...
peronally knows me), you should already know that
music wasn't my first creative form of expression. It was a great friend of
mines, Ezekiel, that told me I've
"... put down the paint brush, and picked up a pen and a pad." He may not have
known it then, but that comment
made me hold my musical talent to high esteem. I mean... really... I ain't shit
(lol), but I work pretty damn hard to
channel that same energy that I have visually from fine arts and illustration
into what I create musically.
Here's a few samples of some work that I've done in my day:
(Click to Enlarge... by tha way.. lol)
"Inside of My Head"
Actually, I never
really named this piece. It was supposed to be a backdrop for some cel shading
work I was doing during my high school "Senior Art Studio" class. Not to toot my
own horn or anything... but, yeah... I took that class as a Junior... yes... I'm
THAT GOOD!
"Morning Glory"
Sad story behind this piece. A girl that I was involved with came from Chicago
to stay with me while I was in OKC. I woke up one morning before her, and I just
thought she looked so ANGELIC. I had to capture the moment, so I quickly
sketched her while she was sound asleep. Unfortunately, things didn't work
out... and we we're on bad terms when she left back for Chicago. I guess you can
call her one of my "prototypes".
"Misato of Neon Genesis Evangelion"
This piece was another sorry effort to upstage my best friend. We made a wager
as to who could draw a better picture of Misato from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
For those of you that AREN'T total geeks like me and her (my bestfried) N.G.E.
is one of the most popular anime to date (lots of biblical refrences). And to go
further... "Anime" is Japanese Animation... alot cooler than tha SMURFS and
SCOOBY DOO (that was for you Domi ^__^). Either way... she sucks and I won! I
mean... what can I say... I ain't shit!
"Wolverine and Jubilee"
Nothing particularly special about this one. It's a picture of Wolverine and
Jubilee from X-Men. Both my original character designs. It's a no-photo blue
pencil sketch, out lined or "rendered" in lead. I liked it... it was done on
comic book pencil board... I used to be one of those guys that wanted to be a
comic book artist when I grew up T_T ;
